If you would like to have a house designed especially for you, we can custom design your perfect house whatever your budget. At Arcline Design & Project Management, we specialise in designing ecologically friendly buildings. Although we focus mainly on projects in Bay of Islands, Doubtless Bay and other areas in the Far North of New Zealand, we have also completed commissions throughout Northland and in Christchurch, Marlborough, Waiheke and Auckland.

Your new home will be an ecologically-designed house that is in harmony with its natural surroundings and caters to your exact needs. For your new home to be unique to you, it would be a one-off design.

Working closely with your builder, we translate your needs into built architecture. Visiting your site, we carefully assess sun, position, views, existing site features, contours and prevailing wind. We then prepare a virtual reality computer-aided design concept which integrates these observations and measurements into your requirements and budget.

The materials, power systems, waste systems, insulation, finishes and natural oils are all chosen to be economical and ecologically friendly. Your new home will have walls that breathe and a fresh, pleasant feel.

The interior of your new home is as important as the exterior. We use flair in designing the inside of your dream home so that the rooms flow easily together and no space is wasted. We can assist you with colour selection throughout your home.

Our computer-aided drafting can provide you with three-dimensional drawings, and a walk-through, of your new home. Examples are shown throughout this page.

Eco Lodges

Also available are Eco Lodges which are multi-sided dwellings designed to function completely independent of external services.

Eco Lodges come complete with solar power panels and batteries, a flushing composting toilet and gas water heating.

Greenhome Accredited Assessor

We are appointed by BRANZ (The Building Research Association of New Zealand Incorporated), under their Green Homes Scheme, to assess the environmental performance of new homes. We evaluate and assess building designs and specification for senergy use, water efficiency, more sustainable materials,
indoor pollutants, waste disposal, etc., to ensure that they give a more comfortable home through careful design and that the owner has a more energy efficient home which helps to promote sustainable development.

We have extensive experience of designing commercial premises including sporting facilities, hotels and restaurants, residential-care homes, retail spaces and agricultural facilities.
