The design supports a self-directed learning model which helps students develop life long work habits. This is done by providing a variety of zones that facilitate both focused and dynamic learning. A teacher support desk is located at the core with collective areas for group work surrounding it. 'Quiet Rooms' are situated on the perimeter and provide a space for focused, individual learning.
These new learning centres are flexible and adaptable; designed to provide an inspiring space for creative and independent learning. Arcline Architecture are currently designing a number of these for schools throughout New Zealand.
