With the way students are learning changing to ‘self-directed learning’, we were engaged to design a new Learning Centre for OneSchool’s Kaipara Campus, based in Maungaturoto. 

Having designed both Senior and Junior Learning Centres for the OneSchool Kerikeri Campus this project was well within our capabilities. 

The new 234m2 classroom space at the Kaipara campus involved adding onto the existing school buildings. These were traditional classroom spaces which were remodeled to allow for the open learning spaces to be constructed and furnished.  

The new space includes multiple video conferencing rooms, quiet rooms and quiet seating cells, and bigger collaboration areas for teachers and students to work together in. 

A big thanks to Autex Industries who provided the stylish acoustic paneling on the ceiling and walls, helping this learning centre feel modern, fresh and quiet.
